The address and its context
The Byblos sits on Avenue Paul Signac, a few minutes' walk from Place des Lices and the port. That central position is the hotel's appeal — and the source of the access difficulty. In high season the streets of the historic centre are closed to traffic for much of the day, and the area around Place des Lices is particularly busy on market days, Tuesday and Saturday mornings.
The approach and drop-off
Our drivers use the Avenue Foch drop-off, which avoids the Lices junction and lets us leave you as close to the entrance as possible without getting stuck in centre traffic. Depending on the hour and that day's traffic orders, the approach changes. It is the kind of detail a map does not show, and the difference between a smooth arrival and twenty minutes in a queue.
Transfers and travel from the hotel
From the Byblos the most frequent runs are Pampelonne — about 9 km and a quarter of an hour out of season, more at lunchtime — and the airports: 1h30 to Nice, an hour to Toulon-Hyères, 25 minutes to La Môle. Over a stay, a chauffeur at disposal saves booking each journey separately: the vehicle stays nearby and comes to the hotel when you call, which matters particularly for late dinner returns.
