Getting around Saint-Tropez in high season
From June to September, Saint-Tropez works differently from the rest of the year. The historic centre is closed to traffic for much of the day, the port and Place des Lices car parks fill by late morning, and the beach road becomes a bottleneck between 11am and 1pm, then again from 6pm to 8pm. We work by drop-off rather than by parking: the driver leaves you as close as possible to your destination (an official drop-off point, a hotel entrance, a discreet pedestrian access), then leaves and returns at the agreed time. You neither hunt for a space nor walk twenty minutes with your things.
Hotels, port and villas: the access we know
Every address has its constraints. The hotels around La Ponche require an approach through the upper lanes, the Byblos has a drop-off on Avenue Foch that avoids the Lices junction, and the villas in Les Parcs de Saint-Tropez sit behind a gated entrance that needs the vehicle announced in advance. At the port, the difficulty is the meeting point: quay access changes with each event. We always agree on a precise spot (a named pontoon, a corner of the quay) rather than a vague "at the port", which always costs fifteen minutes of searching on arrival.
Saint-Tropez out of season
From October to May the town returns to being a village of 4,000 people and the logistics invert: the roads are clear, parking becomes possible again, but transport supply thins out sharply. Many companies around the Golfe close or scale back. We operate year-round, with the same fleet. That matters particularly for early-morning winter airport transfers, business appointments, and second-home owners coming down for a long weekend.
